Description : The Bahamas has used this flag since its independance from Britain in 1973. It is made up of three horizontal bands, in aquamarine blue and yellow, with a black triangle on the hoist side. This colours of the flag help to symbolise the sun and the sand, as well as the ocean. The black of the triangle symbolises the strength and vigor of the Bahamian people.
